As your family physicians, your health and total well-being is our top priority. While we look at your total care serving as your primary care physicians (PCPs), we have particular areas of care that affect many of you.

In addition to the typical, total care you expect from your family physician, we provide a number of in-office services you might not expect. A selection of services you can expect from Sylvania Family Physicians include:

• Bone Density Scan (DEXA) to determine if you have osteoporosis or if you are at risk of osteoporosis before you break any bones.
  
  
• Blood sugar monitoring for diabetics, including in-office A1C blood sugar check. The A1C test gives you an indication of your average blood glucose control during the previous 2 to 3 months. The results give you a good idea of how well your diabetes treatment plan is working. From these results, we can determine if any lifestyle adjustments are necessary.
  
  
• Basic laboratory tests, such as:
  • Rapid Strep
  • Mono Test
  • Urinalysis
  • Pregnancy Test
• Childhood vaccines
  
  
• Recommended well child exams
  
  
• Pap tests
  
  
• Sports physicals
